Vernon Jay "Verne" Troyer was an American actor, stunt performer, and comedian, best known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers franchise and for his brief appearance as Griphook in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
He was notable for his height of 2 ft 8 in (81 cm), the result of cartilage–hair hypoplasia, which made him one of the shortest men in the world.
