TriStar Pictures, Inc. (spelled as Tri-Star until 1991) is an American film production studio of the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group, sister studio of Columbia Pictures, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Sony.
The studio has only co-distributed Faster internationally with Castle Rock Entertainment.
Logo
Against a set of clouds with a nighttime sky, a bright light appears and dims away to reveal a Pegasus who unfolds his wings. "TRISTAR" appears above in gold lettering. This was animated by Intralink.
In 2015, JAMM VFX was commissioned to revamp the company logo, with the same concept, except it is not set in daytime.
