Plot[]
Howard, Leonard, and Sheldon are working late at night, attempting to make the two-month deadline that Sheldon inadvertently promised Colonel Williams, which proves to be difficult, because Sheldon has trouble staying awake.
In the morning, Sheldon and Leonard find that Penny and Amy have already made breakfast for them since they won’t get to see them that much due to the fact that they’re working late.
At the Wolowitz House, Raj arrives to keep Bernadette company. Bernadette isn’t really looking forward to getting ready for her baby.
At the cafeteria, the Flash gives a sleepy Sheldon a recommendation to try an energy drink, which he initially objects to.
Penny and Amy arrive at Bert’s apartment for a party, and are surprised to see that they are the only ones there.
Meanwhile, Raj and Bernadette are clearing out Howard’s previous bedroom; again, Bernadette is less than pleased about it.
Back at the lab, Sheldon is taking forever to get a drink. At that moment, Sheldon returns ready to get to work.
Bert, considering he only has two guests, decides to start cleaning up, and also reminds Amy that she’s the coolest girl on campus, which Amy suggests is because she’s dating Sheldon.
Still working at the lab, Sheldon starts to feel as though he’s becoming addicted to the energy drinks, and compares it to a gambling addiction.
Having tea in the kitchen, Bernadette feels that her hormones are causing her to lash out, and also reflects on her childhood.
Visiting with Penny and Amy, Bert tells them about how Amy made a laboratory cleaning solution that everybody started using, they have some chitchat, and Penny compares to her high school.
Bernadette and Raj go for a drive, with Bernadette still having doubts about the pregnancy. Eventually, Raj calls his father to give Bernadette some advice on the pregnancy.
As Penny and Amy leave, they thank Bert for the party, making jokes as they go. Bert practically falls in love with both of them.
Despite having energy drinks, Sheldon is still unable to stay focused on the project. Now realizing that there’s no way they’re going to be able to make the two-month deadline, Sheldon, Howard, and Leonard go to Colonel Williams to tell him that they’re going to need more time, which he graciously understands, because they’re not the only government contractors unable to deliver on time, and complies. Relieved, the three decide to celebrate by going to a movie.
