Short Information
Notes:	1.) The scene where the bear bites the bear trap snapped on his leg is reused animation from the 1938 version of "Injun Trouble", and would later be reused for that short's color remake, "Wagon Heels". 1.1.) While both of the other shorts are seldom aired on American television today due to Native American stereotyping, "The Chewin' Bruin" currently airs uncut and uncensored. 2.) MeTV+ aired a previously unreleased restored print of this cartoon on Sunday Night Cartoons. However, part of this restoration's opening theme at the beginning is altered, before resuming back to the original opening theme.

The Chewin' Bruin is a 1940 Looney Tunes short directed by Bob Clampett.

Plot

Porky Pig sits on an old dog's lap and listens to the story of the mounted bear head on the wall behind them. Thirty years ago, the dog was hunting and encountered a bear. The bear got a taste of the hunter's tobacco, and the hunter chased him. Eventually, the hunter decided to fight the bear for the tobacco. At the end, the story turns out to be inaccurate.
