Susan Abigail Sarandon (née Tomalin) is an American actress, voice actress, producer, and activist. She is best known for her various roles, such as Sally Matthews in the 1980 romantic gangster film Atlantic City, Louise Sawyer in Ridley Scott's 1991 adventure film Thelma & Louise (with Geena Davis), Michaela Odone in George Miller's 1992 drama film Lorenzo's Oil, Regina "Reggie" Love in Joel Schumacher's 1994 legal thriller film The Client, and Sister Helen Prejean in Tim Robbins' 1995 crime drama film Dead Man Walking (in which she nabbed four Academy Award nominations, with the latter role earning her an Academy Award for Best Actress). She also voiced Coco LaBouche in the 2000 Nickelodeon animated film Rugrats in Paris, Mrs. Joyce Clark in Our Friend, Martin, and the Golden Queen in the Skylanders spin-off TV series Skylanders Academy. Her other notable roles include the 1987 dark fantasy-comedy film The Witches of Eastwick, the 1988 romantic sports comedy film Bull Durham, Gillian Armstrong's 1994 historical drama film Little Women, Peter Jackson's 2009 supernatural drama film The Lovely Bones, and the 2012 epic sci-fi film Cloud Atlas.
