SUPERMAN TAKES A STAND AGAINST METAHUMAN OUTRAGE AS THE WORLD REACTS TO CONSPIRACY THEORIES ON THEIR ORIGINS, is a promotional newspaper article originally published on the Daily Planet's website to promote the new DC Comics graphic novel, Doomsday Clock. The article was fictitiously written by Lois Lane, published on December 20, 2017
After Lex Luthor's unleashing of an all-out anti-metahuman campaign yesterday. Superman has called for calm in this time of chaos. In a statement given to the Daily Planet. Superman said, "We cannot allow paranoia, fear and distrust to be our driving motives in out actions at this difficult time. Although I applaud the men and women who have done so many amazing things at LexCorp that have helped the world. I find the words and ideas of its leader misguided and, quite frankly, dangerous."
While the United Nations is debating whether to force the United States to open up its metahuman prisons and medical institutions for inspection. Other world leaders are tempering their reactions to "The Supermen Theory" in a wait-and-see approach. But the more strident Lex Luthor made his stance clear with his tirade yesterday about the supposed dangers of metahumans and their impact on society at large. The outspoken and controversial head of LexCorp has never shied away from denouncing the super-heros of the world, including Superman, but his recent comments have taken a decidedly darker and more threatening turn. Luthor encouraged all business leaders to denounce metahumans until they unmask and reveal their origins to the world. Until that time, Luthor has stated he will dedicate all of the necessary resources within LexCorp to uncovering the truth behind metahumans, promising to expose "as many of them as humanly possible."
As of this publication, Lex Luthor did not return inquiries.
