Snowtime for Comedy is a 1941 Merrie Melodies short directed by Chuck Jones.

Plot[]

The Two Curious Puppies are chasing a bone in the winter, but they soon find themselves at odds with beavers and dangerous ice.

Availability[]

Notes[]

  • Because the cartoon has no dialogue, the European Turner dubbed print preserves the original Blue Ribbon 1951-52 ending card. However, the USA Turner dubbed print for reasons unknown, does not keep the Blue Ribbon end card.
  • The European Turner print has blue borders while the USA Turner print has red borders.
  • The reissue print is copyrighted MCMXLIV, instead of MCMXLI.
  • This is the first cartoon to use the purple-blue Color Rings.
  • Though the European Turner print uses the original ending card, CN Spain and other recent airings of this short in Europe actually use the 1995 ending card instead. [1]
