Six Flags Mexico (also spelled Six Flags México) is a Six Flags theme park in Mexico City, Mexico. It opened to the public on April 11, 2000, as the first Six Flags theme park outside of the United States.

Divided into six themed lands based on different cultural villages, Six Flags Mexico features many thrilling rides and attractions, making it the "Thrill Capital of Mexico".

The park was renovated from the former Reino Adventura (Adventure Kingdom) theme park, which operated from 1982 to 1999 before it was acquired by Premier Parks, then the parent company of Six Flags Theme Parks.

History[]

In March 1999, Premier Parks, then the parent company of Six Flags, announced the purchase of Reino Adventura for an estimated $59 million.

After the purchase, the former theme park underwent a renovation after the 1999 season, with approximately $40 million in improvements to the park. Six Flags México opened to the public on April 11, 2000.
