Role in the film
After losing to the mailman in their usual race, Stripes meets Sandy. Sandy is later seen watching Stripes at the Blue Moon Races, and later while Stripes plows the field. When Stripes finds out that he is a zebra, he argues with her. Later that night, after they make up their arguement, Sir Trenton kidnaps her to ensure that Stripes does not race, and threatens to hurt her if he races. Tucker, Franny, and Goose help Sandy escape, with a little help from Buzz and Scuzz. When Stripes wins, Sandy moves to the Walsh Farm as part of Nolan and Clara’s bet, congratulates him, and poses for the photo.
Sandy and Stripes have romantic feelings for each other, which become mutual by the end of the film.
