Rufus is a character in the Dolphin Tale films. He is a roof-dwelling pelican who provides comic relief from time to time. He is a troublesome sneaky African Great White Pelican who disrupts everything.
Rufus's Best friend is Mavis in Dolphin Tale 2 . He flew away with Mavis when she was released. at the end of the movie, he came back.

Rufus is very similar to Swiper the Fox from Dora the Explorer. Both characters like to swipe stuff.
He is portrayed by Ricky the Pelican, who resides at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium with Tyndall, Skylar and Matthew.
