Rosie is the tritagonist of A Troll in Central Park. She is Gus' adorable toddler 2-year-old little sister and is voiced by Tawny Sunshine-Glover. She is the first of the kids to befriend Stanley.
Rosie's facial resembles that of Anne-Marie, who made a brief cameo in A Troll in Central Park. Anne-Marie's role was since disabled in the latter All Dogs Go to Heaven franchise because of Judith Barsi's tragedy back in July 1988.
The sound of Rosie crying was not original to A Troll in Central Park, rather it is a stock sound effect (Babies and Children - 2 1/4 Year Old Baby Crying) from the BBC Sound Effects Library. The sound effect is known to have been used in some films, such as Columbia Pictures' 1992 gothic horror film Bram Stoker's Dracula, New Line Cinema's sequel film Son of the Mask, and another Warner Bros. film The Blind Side, and some TV shows, such as Invader Zim and The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange. A higher-pitched version of Rosie's cry has also been used in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 60th feature film Encanto.
