Rooster Teeth Productions or Rooster Teeth was a production company and a subsidiary of Otter Media through WarnerMedia. Rooster Teeth is best known for its original programming Red and Blue, RWBY and Camp Camp. It is also known for DEATH BATTLE!, a series on Youtube in which fictional characters from different properties fight each other and gaming content, particularly Rage Quit.
Rooster Teeth also has a Youtube channel which is close to 10 million subscribers. The content of their Youtube mainly features podcasts, original content and other stuff stated previously above. However, most of their original programming has moved on the main site, with RWBY starting with Volume 6.
In March 2024, it was announced that the company would be shut down, with plans to sell the IP rights to it's various properties. On April 15, 2024, Rooster Teeth announced that both the FIRST program and their website and apps would shut down on May 15, 2024.
In February 2025, Burnie Burns, purchased Rooster Teeth's brand under his company. Box Canyon Production LLC. Including renewed production of their remaining intellectual property.[1] Meaning that the Rooster Teeth brand is no longer Warner Bros. property. As well RWBY franchise was also purchased by Viz Media.
