Ray Bolger was an American actor, singer and dancer. He is best known as Scarecrow and farmhand Hunk in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. His Warne Bros roles were Jack Donahue in the 1949 film Look for the Silver Lining, Charley Wykeham in the 1952 musical comedy Where's Charley?, and S. Winthrop Putnam in the 1952 musical film April in Paris.
He died from bladder cancer on January 16, 1987 five days after his 83rd birthday.
