Noodle is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Lofty) in the 2023 musical fantasy film Wonka. She is portrayed by Calah Lane.
Background[]
Noodle is an orphan girl who works as a servant in the Scrubbit household. She is the youngest of Mrs. Scrubbit's servants and is often tasked with cleaning the house and doing laundry. Despite her difficult circumstances, Noodle is kind-hearted, helpful, curious, adventurous, brave, loyal, and optimistic. In her childhood, she hoped to find out what happened to her parents, who left her a necklace with a ring that has an "N" on it when she was a baby, and run into her mother's waiting arms outside a building full of books and receive a big hug from her mother like if she will never let her go, only to lose hope over her years of growing up in the laundry house and facing Mrs. Scrubbit's mistreatment towards her. In the end Noodle went home to her mother.

Role in the film[]
Noodle first appears in Wonka when she meets Willy Wonka after he was brought into the Scrubbit household. She is initially suspicious of him, but she quickly warms up to him after he shows her some of his candy-making techniques. Noodle helps Willy on his journey to become the legendary chocolatier depicted in Roald Dahl's 1964 children's novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
