In contrast to Allegro, Largo is always pessimistic, stoic and desinterested. He is often shown sitting on a rain cloud. He shows no interest in festivities and/or amusement, which is why Allegro calls him a "party pooper". Largo can but become angry when agitated too much, which he proves at a garden party, where Allegro sends his pawns beating Largo up.
Physical appearance[]
Largo is a chunky and somewhat tubby, dust-grey bear with a large hunch, small ears and a big, roundish and shimmy nose. His eyes are black on white irisses and they always look sad and tired. The whole face expression is dull, sad and bored most of the time, but can also show desinterest and frustration. Largo wears a forgetmenot-blue bowtie. His voice matches his appearences perfectly: it's deep, dragging and mostly stoic. He also speaks in a pessimistic and weary manner.
Biography[]
Largo set his debut in an episode fittingly named "Largo". Largo was basically the anti-Allegro. Instead of Allegro using his rainbows to make everyone happy, Largo used his rain clouds to make everybody sad. Bubbles was concerned by the sudden wave of depression that hit Townsville and she went to the clouds to investigate. There, she met Largo, who introduced himself and told the backstory of how he used to be a happy bear named Cosmic Bear. As Cosmic Bear, he was struck by lightning from a cosmic storm, separating him into two entities of completely opposite emotions. Allegro embodied all of his positivity, while Largo embodied all his negativity. Allegro and Largo simply could not get along, as they were way too different to live together. Bubbles set up a tea party with the two of them, in hopes that it would help them get along. But after she left, everybody just started fighting. Bubbles, finally having enough of everyone arguing, forces Blossom, Buttercup, Largo, and Allegro to make up. After Largo and Allegro hug each other, they form back into Cosmic Bear, and thanked the girls for getting himself back together.
Trivia[]
Largo's name is a reference to the musical term largo, which litterally means "slow and wide". It describes a slow and dragging rhythm accompanied by sad or calm tunes.
His appearance could be based off Ice Bear from the Cartoon Network show We Bare Bears, while his character and mood are obviously inspired by Eeyore from the Winnie the Pooh franchise.
