Kari Kay Wahlgren is an American actress, voice actress, and singer, best known for her extensive voice work in mostly anime and video games, such as Starfire from the DCAMU and the video game Injustice 2, Kitana in recent installments of the Mortal Kombat video game franchise, Zatanna from DC Super Hero Girls and the video game Justice League: Heroes, Ashe in the Final Fantasy XII video game, Kagami Hiiragi in Lucky Star, Saya Otonashi and Diva in Blood+, Celty Sturluson in Durarara!!, and Saber in the Fate series. She also voiced Chloe Carmichael in the Nickelodeon animated series The Fairly OddParents!, Jessica in the Adult Swim sci-fi sitcom Rick and Morty, Razor in the 2009 sci-fi comedy film Aliens in the Attic, Master Tigress in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (filling in for voice actress Angelina Jolie), and Jamie in The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature. Additionally, she voiced Lola Bunny in the HBO Max animated reboot series Tiny Toons Looniversity.

Early life[]

Wahlgren was born and raised in Hoisington, Kansas. She was inspired as a child by the Disney Princesses and other voices in animation. Her parents were teachers, which encouraged her to support charities and organizations that promote reading and education later in her career. On her eleventh birthday, when she and her family were in California and toured the building for Focus on the Family, she was asked to do a bit role in their radio drama Adventures in Odyssey, as an eleven-year-old character named Gloria McCoy.

Wahlgren graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater in 1999.
