"I Want It Now" is a song featured in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory sung by Julie Dawn Cole as Veruca Salt. It was composed by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, who also wrote the rest of the film's musical score. The song expresses Veruca's greedy and impatient personality, as she demands everything she sees in Willy Wonka's Factory, including a golden goose that lays golden eggs. The song ends with Veruca standing on an egg decorator, a device that determines if the eggs are good or bad, and being declared a "bad egg". She then falls down a garbage chute, followed by her father.
