Elmer Wait (September 11, 1913 - July 20, 1937)[1][2] was an animator. Elmer Fudd was named in honor of him.[3]
About Elmer[]
Chuck Jones called him "a fine young assistant animator who died too young." He also described Wait's insomnia, or at least his inability to fall asleep at work. The other animators used him as a lookout for the boss while they were "sleeping, loafing, daydreaming, or doing anything but working."[4]
