- “I think I should warn you all, when a vampire buys it, it's never a pretty sight. No two bloodsuckers go out the same way. Some yell and scream, some go quietly. Some explode, some implode. But all will try and take you with them.”

Biography[]
Edgar Frog (nicknamed Eddie by Chris Emerson) is a vampire hunter who lives in Santa Carla and is one of the Frog Brothers. He was enlisted by Sam Emerson to save his brother Michael from an evil gang of vampires.
Edgar and Alan worked in their parents' comic book store at a very early age, not for money, but for survival guides and tactics. They somehow surmised, and were correct, that their hometown Santa Carla was fraught with vampires, so they read a comic called "Vampires Everywhere" to learn how to destroy bloodsuckers.
When they were both around twelve or thirteen, the Emerson family moved to their town, and they warned the younger brother Sam about Santa Carla's vampires. This paid off later when Sam's older brother Michael became a half-vampire; Sam asked for help, and the Frogs obliged. The two pairs of brothers set out to destroy a small clan of vampires to turn Michael and his girlfriend Star back into humans. In the vampires' lair, the clan was asleep, suspended from the ceiling when the Frogs and Sam arrived. Edgar managed to kill one by staking it through the heart, but this awakened the other three killers. The Frogs and Sam fled back to the latter's house with Michael and Star. The vampires attempted to kill all of them in the house, but were unsuccessful and killed in gruesome ways. Edgar and Alan managed to kill one of them by making him fall into a bathtub full of holy water, while Sam managed to kill another, and Michael impaled the vampire leader David on a pair of mounted antelope horns.
Two decades later, Edgar had moved to Luna Bay and lived alone in a trailer, which he had covered with crosses and garlic to keep vampires away. He also had a job as a surfboard shaper to pay the bills. He lived in apparent solitude until Chris and Nicole moved to Luna Bay as well; the former left his address on Edgar's door, hoping to get a job. Later that night, after the siblings went to a party at a luxurious mansion belonging to Shane Powers (who was secretly a head vampire and was shown to be infatuated with Nicole); Nicole unwittingly drank Shane's blood, turning her into a half-vampire, Edgar knocked her out with a surfboard and attempted to kill her, but Chris obviously called that off.
Chris was initially skeptical of Edgar's theory that Nicole and Shane were vampires, but came around eventually after he was forced to impale one vampire, Lisa, on a pair of deer antlers; he then realized that Edgar was right all along. The two were unable to pinpoint a location on Shane's nest to kill him, so Edgar suggested that Chris got close to Shane and earned his trust. This led to Chris becoming a half-vampire himself, but nonetheless he discovered the location of Shane's lair, a series of old mine tunnels. Edgar killed Shane's clan, while Chris himself killed Shane by slicing off his head with a sword after Nicole shoved a stake into his chest (as she had agreed with Chris's words to Edgar that she was family, and showed it when she told Shane the same thing in regards to Chris).
It was revealed that three years previously, while saving a congressman from a vampire attack in Washington, D.C., Alan got turned into a half-vampire. By only feeding on animal blood, Alan was able to remain that way, but had become disillusioned with the idea of finding a head vampire. In addition, shortly after helping Chris kill the vampires and save his sister Nicole at Luna Bay, Edgar was forced to stake Sam Emerson who had become a vampire, something that was shown to greatly haunt Edgar and had destroyed his relationships with the entire Emerson family.
Two years later, Edgar was struggling financially, and was approached by vampire novelist Gwen Lieber to save her brother Peter from the vampires who have kidnapped him, which he initially refused to do. The vampire DJ X intended to spread vampire blood through his raves in order to create a vampire army and Edgar approached Alan for help, but Alan refused, having lost all hope that he could be saved and thought that the Alpha Vampire was just a "never-ending pyramid scheme". After visiting Sam's grave and returning the rare comic that Sam had bragged about having during their first meeting, Edgar agreed to join the fight alongside Gwen, former reality TV star Lars von Goetz, Lars's cameraman Claus and Zoe, Edgar's love interest. Edgar armed himself with the help of Congressman Blake, who had become his weapons supplier ever since Edgar and Alan had saved his life years prior. However, their first attack went wrong, leading to the death of Lars and Edgar getting injured.
On the night of the rave, Edgar and his surviving team assaulted DJ X's hideout where he had already distributed vampire blood to the crowd. Edgar managed to kill DJ X's girlfriend Lily, but he proved to be no match for the experienced vampire. Edgar was nearly killed before Alan unexpectedly showed up to help, allowing Edgar to incapacitate DJ X with a resin grenade stolen from Area 51 by Congressman Blake. Together, the Frog Brothers killed DJ X, but the partygoers failed to turn back into humans and neither did Alan.
To everyone's surprise, Gwen's "brother" Peter was revealed to be the true Alpha Vampire, whose power DJ X was trying to steal using a Blood Moon ritual. After killing Gwen Lieber, Peter attempted to get Edgar to work for him as an assassin, targeting vampires that got out of line, but Edgar refused and Peter used his power over Alan to make him attack Edgar. Edgar managed to spray Peter with water, which he then blessed into holy water, killing him instantly. Killing Peter turned all the people, including Alan, back into humans.
Later, Edgar and Zoe reflected upon their adventure and Edgar wondered how Zoe knew that vampires were real, unaware that she was actually a werewolf.
