Dark Kahn is a character and the main Antagonist of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.

He is the fusion of both Shao Kahn and Darkseid when they were seemingly killed at the same time that caused them to merged together.


Dark Kahn is a hellish monstrous being of pure rage created from an accidental merging of Darkseid and Shao Kahn when both caught in a destabilizing Boom Tube and Portal respectively, thus, creating the being known as Dark Kahn.

Role in the Game

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe

After Darkseid and Shao Kahn humiliated invasion of Earth and Earthrealm and were killed, their physical body were merged with each other to create the monstrosity that is known as Dark Kahn. This causes the DC Universe and Mortal Kombat Universe to merge together, this forced merging threaten to destroy both worlds. Dark Kahn's power was at the remains of the merger between Apokolips and Outworld.

While he is absent until the final chapter of the game, his influence affected almost of all DC Heroes, villains and the kombatants that caused them to fight among each other.

He finally appeared in the final chapter which he confront all of the Characters as they arrived on the fused Apokolips and Outworld. He infected all of the parcipitants with Kombat Rage as all of the characters fight each other, affected by the Kombat Rage until only Shang Tsung, Raiden, Superman and Batman are the only people left standing. Dark Kahn was pleased that the merging would soon destroy the two realities as he retreated to his tower.

Feeling Responsible for creating Dark Kahn in the first place, Superman and Raiden chase Dark Kahn to his tower, Dark Kahn tricks both of them into fighting each other to the death but Eventually, Superman and Raiden are able to break free from Dark Kahn influence and channel his own Power and Rage against him thus causing Dark Kahn to his ultimate destruction. Shao Kahn and Darkseid, were also restored upon the monster demise but left weaken since their powers are stricken from them. Raiden banish Darkseid to the Netherrealm while Superman banish Shao Kahn to the Phantom Zone.

Dark Kahn was mentioned by Sub Zero and Raiden when they arrived in the Injustice Universe.

Mortal Kombat 11

Dark Kahn was mentioned by Joker when he asked Kotal Kahn on what happened to the monstrous being.


  • Dark Kahn is the one of the most powerful character in the Mortal Kombat Universe, alongside Kronika, Onaga and Blaze.
  • Shinnok Corrupted form was inspired by Dark Kahn design.
