Role in the film
Clara is the current employer of Channing Walsh, the daughter of the film's main human protagonist, Nolan Walsh (who also used to work for her). She is first seen criticizing Sandy's poor performance after she has trouble completing her jumps and demands that she be pushed to her limits as hard as possible. Later, she chastises Channing for bringing Stripes to the race track, which causes the latter to instantly dislike her. Later, after racing tryouts, Clara volunteers Stripes to compete in the Kentucky Open so that she can embarrass her employees. Nolan and Clara bet that if Stripes wins, Nolan gets to keep Sandy, and if Stripes loses, he goes back to work for her. After Stripes manages to win the race, a dissatisfied Clara is further humiliated when Goose defecates on her hat in front of the press.
