The Citadel Guardians were the six wardens of the Crystal Citadel. The Guardians purpose were to capture and imprison beings that keep commit cosmic crimes and violating them. The Guardians guard the Multiverse from these beings by keeping them frozen for all eternity. If a prisoner of the Citadel escaped, The Guardians would release a powerful white laser beam from their heads and shoot the prisoners that made their bodies disaggregate.
By the time ''Escape from the Citadel'' took place, The Citadel Guardians were wiped out to extinction after a massive prison breakout that led to their demise.

Season 6[]
The Citadel Guardians appeared in the Episode ''Wake Up'' in Which a Citadel Guardian appears from a portal and imprisons the Lich in a crystal cell and take him away to the Crystal Citadel Dimension but not before Finn and Jake chase after the Lich
In the Episode ''Escape from the Citadel'' Finn and Jake hitch a ride on a Citadel Guardian after it imprisons and transports The Lich to the Citadel. Upon arrival, the Guardian attaches The Lich's crystal prison onto a much larger crystal "cell block."
When the Lich's Cell is excreting a gray slime from his prison, it began to melt other prisoners' crystal cells and Finn's father. causing a massive jailbreak that would shake the Citadel into Chaos.
The Citadel Guardians try to prevent the Chaos by obliterating the Crystal Prisoners with powerful lasers. Unfortunately, One of the Prisoners is a void caster user and uses his power to attack a Guardian by opening a void in front of a train that Starchy is driving in the Candy Kingdom, which crashes into a guardian and kills the guardian.
The last living Guardian with its dying breath shoots a powerful beam that hits Martin in the lower right shin, which obliterates all the flesh from a segment of his leg, leaving the bones, Making Finn panic.
It isn't long enough though before Martin tells Finn that the Crystal Guardian's blood has Regenerative healing properties and tells him to retrieve it and put it on Martin's leg which Finn fully succeeded and Martin's leg quickly restored to a normal state.
The Guardian's blood was soon to be The Lich's downfall when Finn's hand, which was dipped in some guardian blood touched The Lich that causes The Lich to scream in pain as the Flesh begins to grow on his bones that making Finn realize its property and throws more guardian blood onto the Lich, causing more flesh to grow around his chest that led The Lich becoming Sweet P.

Physical Appearance[]
The Citadel Guardians' bodies are composed of pink crystal with a central nervous system. They also have a humanoid appearance that has at least one fractured arm and leg.

- Their Appearance made them Similar to the Gumball Guardians/Prize Ball Guardians.
- It's unknown if they ever interact with Prismo or other Cosmic entities.
