Christopher Julius Rock is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. After working as a stand-up comedian and appearing in supporting film roles, Rock came to wider prominence as a cast member of Saturday Night Live in the early 1990s. In the mid 2000s, he created and narrated Everybody Hates Chris, which is a sitcom based on his troubled teen years in school and in life. In March 2022, Will Smith slapped Rock and was banned from The Oscars for a decade.
