Billie Burke (August 7, 1884-May 14, 1970) was an American actress she was best known as Glinda the Good Witch of the North in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. Her Warner Bros roles were Lavinia Timberlake in the 1942 drama film In This Our Life, Daisy Stanley in the 1942 comedy film The Man Who Came to Dinner, Mrs. J. Arthur Allen in the 1959 film The Young Philadelphians and Mrs. Cordelia Fosgate in the 1960 western film Sergeant Rutledge.

She died from natural causes at age 85 on May 14, 1970.
