- “All I'm saying is... what if something happened to your husband? Something like murder?”
- ―Beth Odets to Darla McKendrick
Beth Odets was a fictional character from the Femme Fatales episode "Something Like Murder". She was played by Carlee Baker.
Biography[]
She was a masseuse and the (revealed) illicit mistress of wealthy Charles McKendrick, with her affair prompting her to devise a plan to kill Charles and obtain his wealth.
Beth approached Charles's wife, Darla, and performed her duties as a masseuse. Their session later became passionate and led to a lovely tryst between the women, and after Darla vented about her marriage to Charles, Beth coerced her lover to participate in her plan to kill Charles. Late one night, Beth was digging a shallow grave in front of the home, which woke up Charles — who approached the intruder with gun in hand. Darla appeared and killed her husband with a shovel, and the pair of villainesses buried him in the grave.
Following Charles's murder, Darla and Beth planned to cover their tracks by claiming Charles was held for ransom, with Beth enlisting her Australian boyfriend, Howard, in the plan by having him fight Darla and beat her up to appear that the "grieving widow" was attacked. Later, Darla met with Beth regarding the $10 million; a meeting that became heated when Beth pointed a gun at Darla. She was later shot by Howard, who revealed Beth's affair and her true motives. After Darla was shot, she and Beth were crawling for the former's gun (which Darla used to kill Howard), only for both of them to die laying next to each other.
