Alicia Hunt is a supporting antagonist in the 1989 film Batman. She is the mistress of Carl Grissom and secretly Jack Napier. After Jack becomes the Joker, Alicia continues to act as his villainous paramour.
She was portrayed by Jerry Hall.
Background[]
Personality[]
Alicia is very vain, having many modeling portraits of herself spread throughout her apartment, possibly what led her to commit suicide after her scarring.
While Alicia felt no remorse about being an ally of murderous gangsters, she did have a tender side. She truly loved Jack and warned him to never let Grissom learn of their infidelity because he would have Jack assassinated out of jealousy. However, she was impressed by the fact that Jack never worried about this.
Physical Appearance[]
Alicia is a beautiful woman, possibly in her mid-20s or early 30s. She has white skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, and red lips. Alicia is normally seen wearing elegant dresses and high heels. However, after her disfigurement at the hands of the Joker, Alicia's skin became paler with dark circles around her eyes while the left side of her face looks badly burnt, almost as if the skin was peeling off. To hide her disfigurement, Alicia wore a porcelain mask while still wearing elegant dresses.

Trivia[]
- Alicia had a more directly villainous role in novelization, calling Wayne Manor and pretending to be Vicki Vale to trick Bruce Wayne into meeting her. It is also explained that Alicia's dumbed down state is the result of heavy drugs and alcohol, though it is unclear if she was taking them herself or having them forced by the Joker.
- It was not clear how the Joker made Alicia so subservient, and seemingly slow-witted, after her acid scarring. The acid may have caused partial brain damage, or she may have only feigned subservience out of fear of more attacks from the Joker.
- Alicia could also been a very loose inspiration for the character of Harley Quinn from Batman: The Animated Series; both women were lovers of the Joker, stood by his side (despite being treated dismissively by him) and had blonde hair. Even Alicia's disfigurement and make-up resembled Harley's make-up.
- Alicia serving as an inspiration for Harley Quinn would eventually allow Quinn herself to be a part of the DC comics.
- Alicia was based on the character of Circe (the original Black Mask's ex-girlfriend and henchwoman). Black Mask also targeted Circe and forcibly disfigured her with the chemicals in order to force her to reunite with him. Circe ultimately killed herself, which led Black Mask to replace her with a mannequin that he talked to as if it were a real person.
