Dorian Tyrell

Dorian Tyrell is the main antagonist of the 1994 film The Mask. He was portrayed by Peter Greene.

Biography[]

Not much is known about Dorian other than he was born in the early 60s and grew up on the rough streets of Edge City. His criminal career started in his teens. As an adult, mobster Niko took him under his wing and help build name for himself. When Niko decided to open up a nightclub, he called the Coco Bongo, he made Dorian the manager. Soon Niko found his star, a young woman named Tina Carlyle, Dorian took an instant liking to her and she felt the same way and they started dating. The Club was a success with Tina as the star. Little did Tina know that, Dorian was planning to overthrow Niko and make Edge City his.

Personality[]

Dorian is a cruel man and a psychopath. At first when Freeze dies, he seems angry, but he was likely more mad that the bank job was a failure as he doesn't mention Freeze again meaning his men are expendable. He doesn't even care for his girlfriend Tina and just uses her to plan the Bank job. After seeing The Mask dance with Tina, he appears to be jealous and wonders why she didn't Reist kissing him, but he just likely felt weak and planed to kill her at the Charity Ball at the Coco Bongo without any thought.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dorian is a human but he is still a skilled induvial.

Despite being an Enforcer under Niko, Dorian is shown to be competent leader as he has his own crew who do his biding like attempting to Rob the Bank. Looking for The Mask the next day. They go along with him to the Charity Ball to eliminate Niko

Hes skilled with weapons as he is seen with a gun when confronting the Mask and at the end of the movie he is carrying a knife

Hes great at Manipulation as he is able to convince his own girlfriend, Tina to wear a hidden camera and scout the Bank.

Hes great at interrogation as he is able to convince Stanley to tell him about the Mask once his men threaten to crush him with a machine

With the Mask on, Dorian is given strength as he appears much more imposing and he is able to break down the doors at the Coco Bongo and take out the guards who were guarding the door

Also with The Mask he appars to be bulletproof as he is able to withstand getting shot by Niko

He seems to be able to make weapons with the Mask as he shoots out the bullets Niko shot at him to use as his own weapon to kill him
